The Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum (JFGM) in San Diego is a cultural haven where visitors can experience the beauty and traditions of Japan. With each season offering unique natural wonders, the garden provides a space for connection, learning, and appreciation of Japanese art, history, and horticulture.
As we look back on the year, we want to share the impact this garden has had on the community and highlight why it’s vital to preserve its legacy for generations to come.

One of the unique offerings at the Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum is the monthly Sound Meditation Program, where participants experience the ancient practice of sound healing.
Guided by expert instructors such as Lindsey Roach and Noriko Whitfield, these sessions use therapeutic frequencies to balance the body and soothe the mind, promoting relaxation and a deeper connection to one’s inner self.
“The sound baths are incredibly rejuvenating. It’s a multi-sensory experience that leaves me feeling calm and at peace.”
